2. List the five states with the least number of Earthquakes? Why do you think these states experience less earthquakes?
Florida, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin. These states experiences less earthquakes because they are on the eastern side of the US. Earthquakes and volcanoes usually occur at the edges of tectonic plates. It is much less likely for these to occur in areas that aren’t near plate boundaries, as the movement of the plates causes these events. Some volcanoes can occur in hot spots within plates, but these are less common.
3. After reviewing the seismic hazard map and earthquake zones of California, rank the following cities in terms of safety in descending order; San Francisco, Paolo Alto, Los Angeles, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, Irvine or San Diego? Please support your response using historical earthquake data, seismic hazard maps, Fault activity map, etc.
San Diego, Paolo Alto, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles. This descending order has been done by observing the past Earthquakes over these regions using historical earthquake data.

At 8:12pm on Thursday 10/20, a 2.1 magnitude event occurred 18 miles WSW of Carlsbad, CA
At 8:49pm on Monday 10/17, a 0.7 magnitude event occurred 6 miles NE of India, CA
At 1:42am on Sunday 10/16, a 2.4 magnitude event occurred 7 miles E of Julian, CA
At 7:23am on Thursday 10/20, a 2.2 magnitude event occurred 7 miles ENE of Ocotillo Wells, CA
At 10:25pm on Sunday 10/16, a 2.6 magnitude event occurred 1 mile WNW of Aguanga, CA
Five states with the least amount of Earthquakes are Florida, Massachusetts, Georgia, Iowa, New Jersey. This is most likely because there are no fault lines running through them, and they are not near any plate lines.
I believe that the safest to least safest cities in California are San Diego, Irvine, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Palo Alto, and San Francisco. Using the Fault line map of California, I can see what areas have the most fault lines surrounding them or running through them, and can assume that the areas with the most fault lines will be the most susceptible to earthquakes. Also, using the Seismic Hazard map, I can see what areas have the most hazard associated with earthquakes using past data of seismic activity in those areas. San Francisco especially (and the Greater Bay area) are located not only around multiple fault lines, but specifically right by the San Andrea fault, which is big and extremely volatile.

Please, provide a regular grammatically correct, well-structured paper according to the instructions and academic context provided, written with simple sentence structures and easy vocabulary (or shortly, use simple english).

Please read the rubric, and relate the article with the CZ. CZ is the critical zone, the zone at Earth’s land surface extending from the top of the vegetation canopy through soil to subsurface depths at which fresh groundwater freely circulates

How will crops, precipitation, water supply, and building design change?

Answer the following questions:
1. While the surface of the Earth has grown warmer in recent years, temperatures in the upper atmosphere have actually gotten cooler. Some people say this means that the global warning is a myth. What would you say?
2. Do you think your carbon footprint has increased or decreased in the last year or so, and why?
3. Which do you think is a more effective strategy for lowering carbon dioxide emissions: a carbon tax on emissions, a tax on gasoline, or an incentive such as a tax credit for renewable energy alternatives, or some combination? Why?
4. Can a vegetarian diet have a lower climate change impact than a beef-based diet? Explain.
5. What do you think conditions might be like in the area you live if the average temperature increases 6 to 7 degrees? how will crops, precipitation, water supply, and building design change? You may be able to find a region at a lower latitude than yours where those conditions exist now to use as a guide.
