Explain four components required for any “list” implementation in android (chapter 6)

App development for mobile devices is both simular and different from development for desktop platforms. Navigation within an app has some of  these similarities and differences; different functionality is provided on different screens. App designers have to provide both the capacity to switch between those screens and make it easy and relatively obvious for users to do so when they want or need the functionality provided by those screens. So, yes – screen design is both similar to and different from traditional UI design. However, the objects available for design differ in both form and function. The amount of screen real estate is much more limited and the amount of real estate available changes among devices that can use your app. The skillset used in traditional development is useful, however, Android app development requires additional skills and knowledge of Android fundamentals.

Discuss the ways in which you (or a friend) and someone else share one or two demographics/characteristics but are different in an other.

Recognizing Discrimination
Recognizing Discrimination
Please be open, honest, and sensitive to the feelings of others in this discussion board. The goal for this discussion is to learn about how others feel or sense discrimination that you might not be aware of. Determine what demographics you have in common like being students, having the same gender, being citizens of the U.S., being a parent or a single parent. being employed or unemployed, etc. Then see where one of you might be discriminated against for a characteristic you don’t share. Conclude your post with a reflection on how the danger of a single story can influence what we think about people of other ethnicities.
This is a discussion for learning, not for finding solutions.
What to do
Post a 250-word minimum reflection about about yourself or someone else (you are not required to use yourself and your own experiences). Discuss the ways in which you (or a friend) and someone else share one or two demographics/characteristics but are different in an other. For example you and a friend might both be male and Asian, but one of you is gay. Then describe when or how your friend is discriminated against in a way that you don’t experience. Try to keep focused on institutional (church, bank, school, criminal justice) situations, rather than discrimination by a person.
The point of the discussion is to become aware of the fact that your friend is or can be discriminated against for a reason, which you can’t be discriminated against.

However, non-musical ringtones have become increasingly popular.

To download a ringtone to your cell phone, first find a song that you like. There are several online sites that offer dozens of different ringtones. Some charge royalties to artists for using their music, while others offer free versions. You can even find older songs that are in the public domain.
The first downloadable mobile klingelton service came online in 1998 in Finland. The company was called Radiolinja. Vesa-Matti Pananen created the Harmonium, a digital file that would allow individuals to create their own monophonic ringtones. Later, the Digitalphone Group began a similar service in Japan.
You can also choose ringtones for contacts on your Android phone. To do this, open the Contacts app and tap the name of your contact. Then, choose “Edit Ringtone” or “Edit Text Tone” if you wish to customize it. Once you’re done, the new ringtone will be available for that contact.
A ringtone has two main types: monophonic and polyphonic. A monophonic ringtone only contains a single tone, while a polyphonic ringtone contains both the melody and harmony. The former is the most common and compatible form of ringtones. However, non-musical ringtones have become increasingly popular.
Ringtones are a great way to show someone you care about them. You can set the ringtone of a favorite song or play a voice status message that says “I’m available.” By customizing your ringtone, you can make your phone stand out among the crowd. You can even personalize your ringtone by adding your own personalized message.

What has your experience been with patient involvement in treatment or healthcare decisions?

 Discussion EBP Class
Changes in culture and technology have resulted in patient populations that are often well informed and educated, even before consulting or considering a healthcare need delivered by a health professional. Fueled by this, health professionals are increasingly involving patients in treatment decisions. However, this often comes with challenges, as illnesses and treatments can become complex.
What has your experience been with patient involvement in treatment or healthcare decisions?
In this Discussion, you will share your experiences and consider the impact of patient involvement (or lack of involvement). You will also consider the use of a patient decision aid to inform best practices for patient care and healthcare decision making.
To Prepare:
Review the Resources and reflect on a time when you experienced a patient being brought into (or not being brought into) a decision regarding their treatment plan.
Review the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute’s Decision Aids Inventory at https://decisionaid.ohri.ca/.

Choose “For Specific Conditions,” then Browse an alphabetical listing of decision aids by health topic.

NOTE:To ensure compliance with HIPAA rules, please DO NOT use the patient’s real name or any information that might identify the patient or organization/practice.
Post a brief description of the situation you experienced and explain how incorporating or not incorporating patient preferences and values impacted the outcome of their treatment plan. Be specific and provide examples. Then, explain how including patient preferences and values might impact the trajectory of the situation and how these were reflected in the treatment plan. Finally, explain the value of the patient decision aid you selected and how it might contribute to effective decision making, both in general and in the experience you described. Describe how you might use this decision aid inventory in your professional practice or personal life. 3 APA citations no older than 5 years.

When you consider factors such as accuracy of its view of life, psychological benefits, moral guidance, and other values you might hold, does a particular form of buddhism seem more attractive to you than others?”

Four options. Please answer ONE of the following:
1) Having learned about the different types of Buddhism from Prothero and the course optional video lectures, how would you sum up the major differences? What are the variables that seem to differ among these schools of Buddhism? When you consider factors such as accuracy of its view of life, psychological benefits, moral guidance, and other values you might hold, does a particular form of Buddhism seem more attractive to you than others?”
2) Seth Zuiho Segall’s “The Best Possible Life” is a thoughtful reflection on how Buddhism has changed and will change as it develops in the West. Please explain how the Problem-Solution-Technique process is present in the article. What are issues or problems that bring Westerners to Buddhism? What would a resolution to these issues look like? He thinks this solution will require a blending of Western thought (from Aristotle) and Buddhism, something he calls “eudaimonic interpretation of awakening.” What are his “dimensions” (techniques?) of this awakening?
3) Please analyze Veseley-Flad’s article on Black American Buddhists’ practices (“For Black Buddhists Struggling With . . .”) through the notions of congruence and relevance explained in the first three pages of Segall’s article (“The Best Possible Life”).
4) Consider Moffitt’s “The Mindfulness of the Buddha,” Goldberg’s “The Long Marriage of Mindfulness and Money,” and other readings on meditation and mindfulness. Across these articles, we see how Buddhist mindfulness meditation has been transformed by its adoption and popularity in the West, even to the point of becoming “Buddhism stood on its head” (Goldberg). Explain and assess: what does this mean and is it a development to lament or approve?

Are they sufficient to allow the organization to pursue the best market opportunities, while minimizing external threats?

An essential element in evaluating a health care organization’s overall strategy entails examining the company’s resources and competitive capabilities. Are they sufficient to allow the organization to pursue the best market opportunities, while minimizing external threats?
The most widely used tool in conducting this evaluation is a TOWS matrix. A well-executed TOWS analysis provides the basis for crafting the organization’s strategic plan. A key difference needs to be addressed here. SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis has been a popular way to display pertinent external issues and internal strengths and weaknesses. This type of analysis involves listing the organization’s strengths and weaknesses and perceived external opportunities and threats. SWOT, however, does not provide much insight into what strategy decisions might result from the list of strengths and weaknesses and opportunities and threats. As a result, the TOWS matrix (threats, opportunities, weaknesses, and strengths) was developed to provide a better way to develop and evaluate specific adaptive strategic alternatives.
This assignment provides an opportunity for you to complete a TOWS matrix and corresponding analysis, as well as draft a high-level strategic plan based on your TOWS matrix.
By successfully completing this assignment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following course competencies and assignment criteria:
Competency 1: Analyze organizational structure, design, culture, and climate in relation to environmental forces.

Incorporate methodologies from the knowledge-economy management approach in a strategic plan.
Integrate recent strategy management research findings into a strategic plan.

Competency 2: Develop a strategic organizational plan that provides human and financial resources to support targeted organizational outcomes.

Synthesize operational and financial components into a strategic planning process.

Competency 3: Recommend an organizational structure and design to optimize a strategic plan.

Determine the organizational structure that best facilitates a chosen strategy.

Competency 4: Communicate in a manner that is scholarly professional, and consistent with expectations for professionals in health care administration.

Create a clear, concise, well-organized, and professional TOWS matrix analysis and strategic plan draft.
Apply proper APA formatting and style guidelines to citations and references.

Scenario
Your boss congratulates you on a fantastic job on the environmental analysis. She now needs your help with the next step in developing a strategic plan for the CEO—completing a TOWS matrix and accompanying analysis. After completing the TOWS matrix and your analysis, your boss also wants you to prepare a high-level, draft strategic plan for the organization.
You know that a TOWS matrix is a decision-making tool for developing strategic alternatives. You also know that you will be better able to develop a more effective strategic plan based on an in-depth analysis and understanding of the current environment.
Instructions
Note: For this assignment, you will continue to work with the organization you selected in Unit 2.
Complete this assignment in two parts:
Part 1: TOWS Matrix and Analysis
Complete a TOWS matrix and accompanying analysis. Download the TOWS Analysis Worksheet, linked in the resources, and complete it for your selected health care organization.
Incorporate your findings from the current environmental analysis you completed in Unit 3. Be sure to include a minimum of 3–5 items in each quadrant of your matrix, which will give you a total of 15–20 identified and categorized items.
After completing your matrix, summarize the findings from your analysis of each of the four quadrants and develop a high-level, draft strategic plan containing alternative strategies.
Part 2: Draft Strategic Plan
Prepare a high-level, draft strategic plan for your selected organization.
The focus of this assignment is on applying the insights you have gained from your TOWS matrix and the environmental analysis you completed in Unit 3 to the strategic plan. The information from the four quadrants of your matrix will serve as foundational criteria for developing your draft plan.
You must be able to look at your TOWS matrix results and then formulate four overarching strategies with at least one operational goal to support each strategy. Whether your strategies are to enhance the strengths you have identified or to improve weaknesses, your draft strategic plan must align with your organization’s mission, vision, and values.
As you prepare your plan, it may be helpful to review common strategies and goals many health care organizations develop and monitor. Use the following document, linked in the Resources, to guide your analysis of the TOWS results for your selected health care organization:
Common Strategies and Goals Health Care Organizations Develop and Monitor.
Include, with each of your strategies, the core assumptions regarding environmental opportunities and threats, organizational strengths and weaknesses, and organizational behavioral dynamics that are foundational to the strategy. For example, consider:
Service/product life cycle.
Product development.
Organizational culture.
Available funding to execute strategies.
Strategic Plan Requirements
The requirements, outlined below, correspond to the grading criteria in the TOWS Matrix Analysis and Strategic Plan Scoring Guide, so be sure to address each point. Read the performance-level descriptions for each criterion to see how your work will be assessed.
Incorporate methodologies from the knowledge-economy management approach in a strategic plan appropriate for your organization.
Integrate recent strategy management research findings into your strategic plan.
Synthesize operational and financial components into your strategic planning process.
Include your determination of the organizational structure (functional, divisional, or matrix) that best facilitates your strategies.
Create a clear, concise, well-organized, and professional TOWS matrix analysis and strategic plan draft.
Apply proper APA formatting and style guidelines to citations and references.
Document Formats
Prepare your TOWS matrix analysis and draft strategic plan using a familiar and appropriate document format used by health care organizations, such as a memo, business report, or white paper.

Classmate’s Discussion 1
The technological advancements that have occurred in the field of healthcare have greatly changed the way people view and interact with the healthcare system. They have also led to the reduction of costs and the increasing efficiency of the system. We expect that the future of healthcare will continue to be influenced by information technology.
Due to the technological advancements that have occurred in the field of healthcare, physicians are now able to spend less time with their patients. This has allowed them to provide more effective and efficient care to their patients. In the future, we can expect that the increasing number of specialists who can delegate their work to other doctors will have a significant impact on the healthcare system. The increasing efficiency of doctors is expected to have a significant impact on the shortage of specialist physicians in the future. This issue could be solved using technology. Hopefully, the use of information technology can help boost the number of specialist physicians (Patric, 2022).
Electronic health records have revolutionized the way healthcare is done. Despite the progress that has been made in terms of keeping and tracking these records, they are still not widely used yet. This means that the kind of growth that was expected from the adoption of these records has not materialized. Although the adoption of electronic health records has been made in various parts of the world, it’s still not widely used in all areas. This means that the ability to keep track of one’s medical history is still very important (Patric, 2022).
The increasing importance of information technology in healthcare has led to the prediction that the cost of healthcare will eventually come down. Various factors such as better accessibility and efficiency will help make healthcare more affordable and more effective.
It’s widely believed that keeping one’s health is much cheaper and easier than treating an illness. Due to the advancements in healthcare technology, the medical world is now able to monitor our bodies more closely to predict an illness. Researchers have been working on developing ways to prevent various chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.
Since it’s cheaper to prevent a disease than cure it, governments around the world are spending a lot of money on healthcare information technology. This will help them bring down the costs of healthcare and improve the efficiency of the system.
Due to the technological advancements that have occurred in the field of predictive technology, wearable technology is becoming more capable of identifying major events and detecting diseases early. This could help doctors provide their patients with the best possible care. Doctors can now use wearable technology to notify them whenever biometric readings indicate a critical phase, allowing them to provide the best possible care for their patients. This is very beneficial for both the patients and the healthcare providers. Thanks to the availability of telehealth solutions, patients no longer need to visit a hospital for consultations. They can now consult their doctors digitally and get the medication they need on time (The Future Of Wearable Technology in the Healthcare Industry, 2022).
It is very important for patients to manage their own care. Some of the advantages of having important health information – such as immunization records, lab results, and screening due dates – in electronic form make it easy for patients to update and share their records. patients can track their health over time and have information and tools to manage their health, they can be more engaged in their health and health care.  It allows them to have secure communication with providers. It can make communicating with providers faster and easier. With open lines of communication, you can be informed and intervene earlier if health problems arise and improve the provider-patient relationship.
The major disadvantages of patients managing their own health information are privacy and security Issues. Electronic records can be accessed by multiple individuals, including possible third-party access by those who have no legal or medical reason to access patient records so, security and privacy can become a real issue.

Classmate’s Discussion 2
Technology plays a significant role in the future of healthcare. The future of healthcare includes technology that efficiently combines the patient’s data, insurance, and financial advice to support the medical provider in making decisions, improving the patient’s health, and reducing costs as much as possible (The Future of Healthcare Technology, 2019). Providers must learn how to avoid manual data sharing, including faxing information—improving how electronic health record (EHR) means that the transmittal of care plans and patient medical histories are available to the staff within seconds or minutes and not days or weeks. Therefore, the physician can make a better diagnosis and create a more efficient care plan in less time.
Wearable health devices, such as Fitbit or apple watches, are virtual devices that provide patient data on your wrist. These devices can provide information to a patient within seconds. Some information a wearable health device can give is heart rate, how many calories burned, sleep patterns, and different heart rhythms. All the mentioned items incorporate patients deciding their health (The Future of Healthcare Technology, 2019).
Potential benefits for technological advances help make receiving access to health information more accessible. These advances also make communication better for a great patient and provider relationship. Specialists embrace technologies that can help improve the patient experience of specific needs and conditions. For example, patient portals provide access to a patient’s health information by communicating through a computer or a mobile device (The Future of Healthcare Technology, 2019).
Technology has the advantage of ensuring that systems and software are available to improve the workflow and give excellent care to patients. EHRs allow staff to record medical data safely and more effectively. Computerized records can be located much faster than mountains of paperwork to find patient information (UNO Technologies – 5 Benefits of Technology in Healthcare, n.d.). Some disadvantages of computerized systems are the vulnerability to hackers’ attacks. Also, some systems wait to update, and any staff that tries to locate the entered information can easily miss a test result that has a delayed entry (Hoden, 2020). In addition, patients with access to their data may need help understanding their personal information can be exposed to others if left available for others to see.
