During the semester, students will be exposed to the components, importance and purpose of constructing a business plan for a small business. Towards the end of our semester, we will convert our classroom into a simulated funding lab. Students will be given an opportunity to explain their own business plan to either equity investors or a financial lending institution (the funding source). When the student is presenting, the other members of our class will assume the role of the funding source. Members of the funding source will interact with the presenting student by delivering questions/or clarifications which they believe is necessary in order to make a funding decision. The dynamics of the interactive funding lab is intended to simulate the real live events an individual will experience when seeking funding for their new small business.
